We'll send you a Home Broadband kit that includes everything you need for a no-sweat setup. Activate the SIM and pop it in the modem. Then simply fire it up and it will automatically connect to the mobile network, giving you a thumping, full-speed mobile internet connection.

5G is the next major evolution in mobile network technology. As with 4G before it, 5G is focused on mobile data. 5G will promise three major improvements:
Speeds are variable on the Optus 5G Network. Your actual speed will depend on several factors including (but not limited to) congestion, location of the 5G modem in your house and proximity to an Optus 5G tower. Average download speeds can range from 50Mbps to 200Mbps.
You’ll need a 5G-capable modem or a 5G-ready mobile and a data plan to connect to 5G. You’ll also need to be in an area that has 5G coverage.

Don't panic. 3G and 4G are not disappearing anytime soon. If you don't have a 5G phone, that's fine. You can still access super-fast and extensive 4G coverage until you’re ready for a new 5G device.

The 5G Home Internet service does not support fixed line telephone, back-to-base alarm, back-to-base medical systems or a Static IP address.
You will need to contact customer service to ensure that your new service address is eligible for 5G Home Internet. If eligible, you may be able to continue using your 5G Home Internet service at your new service address.
Yes, however this depends on the specific location within the apartment and if the building is in a serviceable 5G area.
Simply unpack the modem (remember to remove the protective plastic film), connect to power and switch on. The 5G modem will search for a 4G/ 5G signal and if the LED light illuminates green you are connected to the Optus 4G or 5G network. You may need to try different locations in your home to get a good 5G signal. Explore the 5G Home Help and Support page for additional support and troubleshooting materials.
Once you’re connected, your modem with automatically update to the latest firmware. This may take up to 24 hours so don’t worry if your modem resets or speeds are slow in the first 24 hours. After 24 hours the centre LED and/or the 5G LED will be green and you’re ready to connect your devices to the WiFi. If the centre LED light is red this means there’s no connection (4G or 5G). The home wireless broadband is very easy to get started. The router arrived in a package. Just plugged it into the wall power socket, turned it on and it worked. No problems.

I am a long term Telstra customer who has never changed networks until now. The ever rising charges I was receiving from Telstra promoted my change. My changeover experience has been very smooth. There was a lot of communication from Yomojo, both via sms and email, updating me with the progress of my sim card, activation and porting from Telstra.

I've only lost coverage in remote rural areas where there's no mobile service anyway, but it's fine at home, which is also rural. Great priced plan for unlimited calls and texts, especially being on a pension, and I've never had a problem and never even had to contact customer service. Outstanding!
